In all things, give thanks

Posted by Albers Communications on November 20, 2012 |

Thanksgiving makes us all reflect on the things we are grateful for in our personal lives…family, friends and other blessings that make up the fabric of who we are. Every year, we gather around our harvest tables and say thanks for the bounty before us.

But in our business lives, many times we are more focused on the rush of the holiday season about to descend upon us. Sometimes we forget to pause and thank the customers who make our businesses successful. We forget the power of saying a personal “thank you.”

In this age of social media, where word of mouth spreads as quickly as fingers can fly across the keys, it’s that personal touch with clients that really makes the difference. How about sending a handwritten note or card? Or perhaps pick up the phone just to call and say thank you. Can you take a special client out to dinner or send them a gift certificate? Never underestimate the power of a random “freebie.”

The “thanks” doesn’t have to be much, but it should be sincere and not seem like a gimmick or a push for a quick sale. Take the time to reflect on the power of good relationship-building.

Here at Albers Communications Group, we have so much to be thankful for…our co-workers, clients and contacts who make everything we do so worthwhile. We are thankful for YOU.

We want to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving and many blessings to come in the years ahead.
