Every year our client, Home Instead Senior Care, hosts a global convention here in Omaha. The hard work and preparation that goes into the event is always impressive, and the turnout is even greater! Meeting the franchise owners from across the country is always a treat for each of the Albers account managers, building on the connections we have with each one of them. Hearing their stories of amazing CAREGivers and clients inspires us in the work we do for their business.
As a way to try to give back to this company that does so much for seniors, this year the Albers team asked convention attendees to take part in our Home Instead Senior Care My Inspiration challenge. Convention attendees stopped by our booth to write down the name of a senior who has inspired them. For each name we received, Albers donated $20 to the Home Instead Foundation, for a total of $5,000. We leveraged the challenge on social media, asking participants to post photos to their Facebook page with the hashtag #HISCMyInspiration.
The response was immediate! We started with Home Instead Senior Care founders, Lori and Paul Hogan, and several members of the Home Office team. Franchise owners were excited to share their inspiring seniors, many of them telling us the story behind their name. Jonathan Fry, the franchise owner from Conway, Ark., was so moved by the challenge that he said he will be taking it back to his office; he will ask his CAREGivers to take part by naming a senior who has inspired each of them and will donate to the Home Instead Foundation, as well.
Within two days, we had reached our $5,000 goal and were able to make the donation to the Foundation. To see the inspiration spread was truly amazing, and we know even more great work and inspirational stories will come from the work being done by the Foundation. We are so proud to work with such a great client and to have a small part in the positive impact for millions of seniors.
Consider what your company or organization can do to capitalize on the work already being done, to inspire others to share in your story or spread your good deeds. A little inspiration can go a long way!
