Tips: Logos

Are logos important? Yes, because your logo is the first impression of your company. Below are some of the things to consider when developing a logo for your company.

  1. Hire a professional artist to design your logo. This will provide you with a distinctive, quality graphic image for your company.
  2. Choose a logo approach that is appropriate for your target audience. For instance, if you have an expensive product and your prospective customers are high-income individuals, then your logo should be rich and stately.
  3. Select colors that communicate the desired image. Green, for example, suggests growth and abundance. Blue communicates trust and reliability.
  4. Design several initial logo concepts. Test response to the logos among prospective customers using qualitative research.
  5. Make certain the chosen logo will reproduce well at various sizes.
  6. Keep in mind how the logo will look when reproduced in black ink only.
  7. Develop graphic standards when designing your new logo. This will ensure that all employees are using the logo consistently.
