Tips: Sales Presentations

The following tips can help you "close the deal" the next time you are making a sales presentation.

  1. Get and hold your prospect's attention by choosing your words carefully. Some of the most persuasive selling words include you, money, save, results and guarantee.
  2. Sell the benefits. Tell the prospect how your product or service will save him money, help him be more productive, etc.
  3. Focus on the uniqueness of your service or product. Why choose your company over a competitor?
  4. Tell stories of clients who have had success with your products or services.
  5. Give the prospect an opportunity to ask questions.
  6. Before leaving, ask the prospect if he is ready to make the purchase. If he is not ready, suggest a next step in the process.
  7. Be prepared for objections. Rehearse your presentation and practice responding to the objections that will arise.
